Changing the background in windows 7? Well how am i supposed to do that?

No need to panic it’s as simple as typing.

I love customizing my windows 7 and love the speed and elegancy of windows 7,what about u? and for that matter I love to do this with ubuntu and mint as well.

In this post We will see how to use a simple and open source(love open source) Windows 7 Log on background changer.

Windows 7 Log on Background Changer

Note:-You don’t really need to install this program in your computer to use it,it can be used as a portable application and can be carried in a flash drive and used.

After you have launched this program all you need to do is select the picture that you want to set as your windows 7 log on screen.

If you are not satisfied with the windows 7 default images, you can also use your own images as your windows 7 log on screen.

Once you have selected the image that you want as your windows 7 log on screen simply click on apply.

Click yes on authorization and yes on the windows 7  UAC confirmation if it pops up.

A few other settings that can be used are:-

Prevent other users from changing the log on screen background.

Resetting the images folder to default,i.e the windows 7 default image folder.

Although their are many different applcations to achieve the same task but this is the only one that has worked without any problems for me,since I started using windows 7.

Just so you know, Bill Gates never actually said that 640kb ought to be enough for anyone, he actually said the opposite. It makes me cringe at what people will believe without actually verifying if it supports their viewpoints every time I see someone misquote that.

Nice tutorial Shoib. BTW, I never use (disable) log on screen on all of my PC/laptop. Just leave all of the configuration via TuneUp Utilities

Shoaib, I don’t understand the tutorial. Where should I change the background? Is there no software needed?
