Customizing Windows 7-XP and vista look

Although windows 7 is really nice and has some cool features,but if you are used to using the windows xp or windows vista features that at times you may find windows 7 a bit annoying.
In this post I will show you how to:-

1-Make windows 7 Taskbar look like the one in windows xp or vista
2-Create a quick launch in windows 7(missing)
3-How to disable the Aerosnap feature(annoys me at times-what about you?)

So lets start

Customizing the windows task bar

-Right click on your taskbar and make sure its not locked
-Now click on properties
-Under the taskbar tab-click on make a tick on the small icons radio button and from the taskbar button option select either “never combine” or “combine when full”

-click on apply and you are done
-Now your task bar must something familiar to earlier versions of windows and that too with the window thumbnail hover option-you can even decrease the time the thumbnail hover takes to occur

Create a quick launch in windows 7

You can pin anything to the start menu-But if you want to create quick launch option then here is how to do it
Right click on your taskbar and again make sure that your taskbar is not locked
Go to the toolbars option and clik on new toolbar
Make folder anywhere in your hard disk and put the shortcuts to your programs that you use frequently
Now the folder will show up in your task bar
Right click on the folder and uncheck the show text and show title button
You can also make a shortcut to your desktop on your task bar by choosing the desktop option after right clicking the taskbar.

How to disable the aerosnap in windows 7

-Go to you start menu and navigate to you control panel
-In your control panel click on the ease of access option
-In this page click on “change how you mouse works”

How to disable windows 7 aerospan

-Now  in the new window-scroll down to the bottom and check the radio button saying-”prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen”
-If you want the window to open up when you hover over it,you can do that as well-just check the option above it in your  option.
