One of my closest friend returned back to studies approximately after a span of a decade.
Instead of a very challenging commencement he began un-expectadly very well and is attaining better marks as compared what he used to get a decade ago.He says to me that its him who is doing such great in studies,he only tells that with time he has become wiser and full of wisdom and the main reason for why he has so much is that he now organizes his studies very well.
Its does not matter if you are returning to studies after a considerable amount of lag or you’re just moving towards your higher studies after your high school,if you practice good study skills then it’ll be very easy for you to get good marks nad it’ll as well lower the amount of stress that you feel, its just common sense or a sense responsibility, this is what my friend says he was lacking earlier. This blogo will be helpful to anyone who wants to improvise his study hours properly.
Attend classes regularly-This does not have to do anything with how much brains you have
its shear planning and management of your activities,if you don’t attend your classes it does not matter to your tutors they don’t give a dime and will let you fail.So don’t party on regular days and if you do intend on regular days during your studies then please don’t take a course that starts at 8 in the morning. If you have a kid and she gets sick then please have a back-up plan ,but please no matter what don’t miss your lectures ,you’re paying for them and if you don’t attend them you’re playing with your future.
Read before you reach-According to the subject you’re studying their will be tasks(like a homework at school) and most probably it’ll include reading. The logic behind this is that you should get some idea about what you’re going to taught in the upcoming lectures and to make you aware of the doubts you may have so that you can clarify them during the lectures. The statistics show that an average university student requires to spend two-three hours reading the topic for every one hour of the lecture.
Be Attentive-when you’re in the class please be focused on what is being taught, and do not just surf in your lappy and pretend as if you’re listening to the lectures very carefully because by doing so you’re fooling yourself and by the way lectures with Phd can easily make out what are doing in the class ,so they don’t give you marks for your attendance alone you’re required to be present in the class both physically and mentally.
Know which method of making notes suites you most-Get to know which kind of note making method suits you best it may be nay thing from employing a laptop or using a notebook. Most of the folks i know are pretty fast at typing as compared to writing and their’s a added benefit to it -everyone can recognize clearly what you have written ,some of the professors prefer to teach from textbooks ,in that case you should take care to get a hand on the notes that your tutor created and lay them out in way so that its easy for you to grasp and some lecturers use power-point presentations in that you can get the notes online from your college’s website.
Make a schedule and abide by it-This is one of the best things that my friend has started doing lately and believe he is most of the busy and when he is free you can see the joy in his face of achieving the target so make goals and work towards them irrespective of the circumstances.
Develop good research skills. Knowing how to research can make the difference between spending an hour gathering useful information and spending ten hours gathering largely irrelevant information. Develop good research strategies. Use your library resources (that includes the members of staff). Learn to use the internet wisely. There’s a huge amount of misinformation in cyberspace and Wikipedia may be a fun resource but it’s not an acceptable source to quote in an academic paper. Talk to your professors about the best way to carry out research in their subject areas. Learn to do a proper internet search on an academic database. Use advanced search options to narrow or widen a search.

Do Research-one of the most striking differences between the school and and higher studies is that you need to go into all possible depths to know all the facts about the subject you’re studying. Most of the times there are references at the end of every chapter or unit ,try to go over some of them as they are really good sources or else the author would have not taken the reference from it.
Enjoy while you learn-you should to enjoy everything you do as this will make a cent percent concentration of yours and the results will outstanding no matter which subject or course you’re studying and this applies to your job.And lastly try to get some breaks in between your studies to make sure that you don’t get exhausted with the burden of the study and make new friends when free and enjoy .
