Using blogspot? Then you obviously need to have verified your blog,if not don’t worry I will show how exactly to so that and also how to submit your blogspot blog sitemap to google.

How to make and submit a blogspot blog sitemap to google

Step-1-Blogspot verification

If you are login to your google account simply click on the My setting line on the top right hand side of your google homepage and go to My account settings.

Goolge account settings

Click on My account settings

Click on Webmater Tools

Click on add a site and then enter you blogs name.

Then add the code that you are gicen to your blogs template by going to your blogs layout–>>Edit html

copy and paste this code from google to your blogs html

Once you have added the code simply click on verify and you will get message .

Step-2-Make and submit a sitemap for blogspot blog

Now since you have verified your blogspot blog,you will see it in your google webmaster tools section.

Click on the blog that you just verified.

On the lower right hand side of your webmaster’s section you will see Submit a sitemap.

Click on submit a sitemap.
Now you will a web address something h**p://yourblog.blogspot.com/-emtybox/

In the empty box copy paste the following code.

atom.xml?redirect=false&start-index=1&max-results=100

Copy this code and paste it in the  empty box that says
Voila :-D you just sbmitted your blogspot sitemap to google.

Note:-This method of submitting your blogspot sitemap only works for first 100 url’s(posts) in your blogpost blog.
So if you happen to have more then 100 posts in your blog simply repeat the process and submit the sitemap for next 100 posts by simply changing the number 1 to 101 and 100 to 200 in the above code.

How to add tweetboard to your blogspot or wordpress blog?

Tweetboard is the sliding tweeter plugin that you see on the left hand side of this blog.
If you like it then here’s is a step by step tutorial on how to add a tweetboard to your blogspot or wordpress blog.

Things that you will need:-
A blog-wordprees or blogspot.
A twitter account
No knowledge of coding

Frankly speaking their is not much that i have to tell you.

Adding tweetboard to your blogspot blog

Go to your blogspot blogs layout section.
Click on edit html
Press ctrl+f
Type in the box that opened.
Hit next and see the matched code.

Now copy this code just before this matched coe

Remember to replace xx in hxxp with tt.And of course enter your twitter name in their.

Hit save template.
Now visit your blog-most probably you will the tweet board now.
Now go to hxxp://tweetboard.com/alpha/invites/#tb and enter your twitter username and in the invite code enter “joomlainvites01″

Now come back to your blog and you should see a fully functional tweetboard on your blogspot blog.

Adding tweetboard to wordpress blogs

Open your custom_function.php and add the above code at the end of it.

Rest of the methods are same as for blogger.

H aving favicons in your blog’s address is something that helps you in branding your blog.

What is a favcion?
Favicon is the “w” that you see in this blog’s tab.

Adding a favicon to your blogspot blog is not a big task and here We’ll see how you can further customize your blogspot blog.

Things you will need:-
Literally nothing just a blogspot blog and access to internet and if you are reading this article then its obvious that you have access to internet.

You also need to have image that you want as your favicon.
The image should be around 50px in dimensions.
To have image of that size click here and generate your favicon(remember to check the dimensions as 50px)
When the image resized,save the image.
Now go to your blogger blog and make an new post and put only your favicon image in it and select the html view.
Copy the src Url from the of the image from their and paste it into a notepad.

And you should make the date of your post to something like that post will not show up in your homepage.

Now come to your layouts section and select edit html.

Press ctrl+f and a box will open at the bottom of your brwoser(firefox) in Internet explorer the box will be just in-front of your tabs.

Type </head> into the box and hit next in the box.
When you get the matching code copy and paste this code just before this matching code

Now copy the image url from the notepad that you had copied ealier and paste it in place of your-icon-url.png

Now you can place these type button in to your blogspot blog posts aswell.

What is digg anyways?
Well digg is a social netwroking site that allows to share your thoughts and things with your friends.

Using social networking sites to expose your blogspot blog is really a good thing.
I had earlier made post a about some of the twitter like social networking sites-you caan read them and i would suggest to use all them to your best use.

Now lets come to the real topic

How to add a digg me button to your blogspot blog?

First of all you need to set your blogspot blog posts set to saved as archive.
To do so login into blogger account and choose the blog you want to add the digg me button.
Now under settings click on archiving and make sure save postss is set to yes or else this wont work.

By using this hack you will not be select which posts digg buttons to show on which ones to leave.
So basically this hack places a digg me button on each and every post of our blog.

Now come back to you blogspot blog and open layouts.
Go to Edit HTML.
Now the first thing to do is copy your templates full HTML into a notepad-just in case anything goes wrong you’ll be able to revert back the changes easily.

Check the “Expand widget Tmplates”.

Now press ctrl+f a box will open at the bottom of oyur browser.

Copy this in that box < p >< data:post.body />< /p >

Now click next arrow in the same box and you’ll see the matching code in your template.

Replace this matching code with the code given below:-

If you are using blogspot and you have many blogs under the same gmail account then you not  want your name, that is the aouthor name to be displayed in every blog.
So the easiest method to remove the author name and date from your blogspot posts is:-

Login to your blogger account and go to each blogs customization/layout page individually.
